PLEASE COMPLETE THE CHURCH BOARD QUESTIONNAIRE

Sep 12, 2013 | Blog, Leadership

“If you lead a local church board, or are a church board member, please complete the (ten minute max) SurveyMonkey  “Board Development Questionnaire” at the link below. I am preparing for an October BoardServe tour in my home state of Florida, USA, around the theme, “Nurturing Strong and Effective Local Church Boards.” The area meetings will explore the strategic roles and responsibilities of local church boards, review some “best practices” for effective boards, and develop some specific steps for local church boards to take as they move to a new level of board efficiency and mission effectiveness.

Pastors and boards who are in sync serve as catalysts for healthy and maturing congregations. Strong boards empower visionary and affirming pastors; strong pastors embrace engaged and passionate boards. The October meetings will explore this critical relationship and how it can be strengthened. Your participation in the questionnaire will assist me in gaining a broader, more global perspective on church board issues. In addition, I hope to see if a correlation  exists between the challenges facing church boards in one area with those in other parts of the nation and world. You do not need to be a member of one denomination to participate. Your responses will come to me personally, and I will not abuse the information, not identify any person, church, or nation in which the person works or lives.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!”
